How to choose the right Custom Pet Portrait for You
Over the years, I've developed a range of styles and sizes in order to provide options to suit all budgets and tastes. However, more choice can sometimes be overwhelming! If you're new to Pet Portrait Illustration, here are some things to think about when choosing a Custom Portrait Package...
Where will it go?
Of course, none of our Commission Packages are so big they won't fit on a wall, but thinking about where you'd like to display the portrait might help you choose a size and style which is best suited to the space.
Who is it for?
Is it for yourself or a gift for someone else?
When do you need it by?
Some Commission Packages have a turnaround of a few days, other are a few weeks. I always try and accommodate shorter deadlines but it's good to allow yourself time to frame the piece if you're giving it as a gift.
What kind of Pet and how many?
Some Pets have more complex markings and textures in their fur, which achieve better and more striking results when painted in a more detailed style.
What's your Budget?
Perhaps you've been saving up as a treat for yourself, or maybe you're buying several portraits as gifts for friends and family - no matter what, I have all budgets covered!

My Custom Pet Portrait Packages
Below I've listed all the different Custom Portraits I offer, with a few notes to help guide you towards a decision based on the questions above. All my prices are based on how long it takes to create the Portrait and the materials involved.
Custom Cards - £20
The most affordable option, this simple style has a quick turnaround (2-3 working days) and can be sent directly to the recipient with a message inside. You can also add custom cut-outs depending on the occasion, which are easily removed so the person can frame the hand-painted illustration as a mini Pet Portrait. Ideal Birthday/Christmas Gifts for friends and family, especially if you're not able to give something in person.

Custom Cat Yoga Portraits - £30
These tiny paintings make truly wonderful gifts for Cat People, and are a great way to turn that funny photo of your own Cat in weird positions into a little work of art!

Mini Portraits - £45
The same size as the Custom Cards, this portrait style includes a LOT more detail! Painstakingly created using the very finest brushes, my Mini Portraits really have wow-factor. Because of their size, these are ideal as a special gift you know the recipient will be able to find a place for. Mini Portraits are at home sat atop shelves, mantlepieces, desks, or in a nook of a Gallery Wall. They serve as tiny reminders of our four-legged family members. Also great if you have lots of Pets and want to have them all painted without breaking the bank...

Mini Colour Portraits - £55
As above, but with a gorgeous colourful background! Perfect if you want something more statement, or to compliment the colour of your Pet. With over 50 paper shades to choose from, you can match your artwork to your home decor for a really beautiful effect.

A5 Simplified - £50
A great mid-range choice, bigger than the mini's and less money than the larger sizes! Captures your Pet's character with painterly brushstrokes for a charming effect. Great as a more affordable but still special gift (or treat for yourself!)

6 - 7 Days
A5 Detailed - £80
The same level of detail as my most detailed A4 Portrait package, just smaller! This style captures all the colours, marking and textures of your Pet in fabulous detail. Whilst the paper size is half of A4, for this style, the pet fills the entire space, meaning the illustration is bigger and more detailed than the simplified version of this size (above).

6 - 7 days
A5 Colour - £95
As above, but with a gorgeous colourful background! Perfect if you want something more statement, or to compliment the different colours and tones of your Pet. With over 50 paper shades to choose from, you can match your artwork to your home decor for a really beautiful effect.

A4 Simplified - £70
The largest size in the characterful 'Simplified' style, this package captures Pets with bolder gestures and pops of bright colour. Perfect if you'd like a larger Portrait, but at a lesser cost.

A4 Detailed - £100
My most show-stopping package, this Commission style is the largest and most detailed on offer. A truly special gift that will be treasured forever, the A4 Detailed package is perfect for significant occasion gifts and Very Important People. If you've followed me for a while and have been wanting a Pet Portrait Illustration of your very own, this style will not disappoint. This price-point allows me to offer more in-depth guidance when selecting/taking your images, to ensure a really amazing result. Because of the level of detail I go into on these illustrations, they make wonderful memorial portraits, capturing every unique quirk and marking.

A4 Colour - £150
As above, but with a gorgeous colourful background! Perfect if you want something more statement, or to compliment the different colours and tones of your Pet. With over 50 paper shades to choose from, you can match your artwork to your home decor for a really beautiful effect. Under-painted first in white primer, this process ensures superb colour vibrancy even on the darkest of backgrounds.
